Rhythms and Seasons

When I worked on that big ranch I learned that winters were meant to be slow and savored.

Slow roasted food, slow days in front of the fire, mending, planning, preparing.

The experience changed the rhythm of my life.

I'm so glad I took my yearly deep rest in December. We had heavy rains that made it easy. I slept long, cooked good food, did puzzles with Gail, laughed in front of the fire, played with the animals, doodled, drew, planned, prepped and prepared.

I'm grateful, because I've worked my butt off just about every day in January.

I cannot believe the leaps and bounds made in my goals in the last few weeks.

My community really showed up for me, too.

I'm in deep gratitude and awe.

More confirmation for me that when we align with Mother we really get on the fast track.

"With God on our side we can take the stairs."
